Since June 2007, GFWC clubwomen have used their voices to speak out against domestic violence, and to tell friends, family and co-workers about the National Domestic Violence Hotline as a source for help.
At that time, GFWC helped launch the National Domestic Violence Hotline's Million Voices Campaign to End Domestic Violence in America. At the same time, GFWC clubwomen pledged to gather 10,000 signatures to help launch to Million Voices Campaign, prompting NDVH's Chief Executive Officer Sheryl Cates to comment that, "I don’t know of any organization with more passion, capacity, and ability to accomplish this mission than GFWC."
GFWC's passion for domestic violence awareness and prevention is evident: from 2006-2008, clubwomen raised nearly $16 million on behalf of domestic violence issues.
