GFWC - Likely Questions about Online Reporting

Likely Questions about Online Reporting

GFWC is excited to introduce online reporting in 2008. This is the first time our members will be able to submit their reports online, so we have compiled the following list of likely questions to assist you.

Review our helpful Guide to Online Reporting to learn more.

Why should I report online?
Online reporting saves energy and resources, both for the individual submitting the report and for GFWC Headquarters. It ensures accuracy in reporting, and expedites our accounting of all club reports. With more than 4,000 clubs eligible to report, streamlining this process is vital to keeping it manageable.

Can I change my report after I submit it?
We encourage you to take your time in completing the online report, to ensure accuracy. In addition, you have the opportunity to review your report and make corrections before submitting it. If, however, you discover errors that must be corrected, please wait at least 24 hours after submitting your report and send an e-mail to GFWC's Program Department with the following information: the name, contact phone number, and e-mail address of the individual who completed the report; the club/district/state name for which the report was completed; the inaccurate information that was reported; and corrected information.

How will these reports be distributed throughout GFWC?
During this initial reporting process, we are not able to guarantee that reports will be sent to anyone outside GFWC Headquarters. For this reason, we encourage those reporting to follow their state guidelines for reports in addition to using GFWC’s online reporting tool. We will have limited capacity to furnish these reports; however, if a critical need arises, please contact GFWC Program Director Pat Nolan via e-mail or call 202/347-3168 ext. 133.

Can I save my report and come back to it?
Yes; you can choose to complete only a portion of the online report at one time. You will be able to input your e-mail address and a password of your choice. Please write down your password so that you can reference it later. However, do not attempt to save the form until you have entered information into the report, otherwise your report will not be saved.

How do I get back to my saved report?
Return to the online reporting page and click on “resume a previously saved form”. You will be asked to provide the e-mail address and password that you selected when you saved the report.

What if I forgot my password?
Please contact GFWC Program Assistant Marin Aurand by e-mail or call 202/347-3168 ext. 134. You will need to know the name, contact phone number, and e-mail address of the individual who saved the report in order to reset your password.

Can I print my report?
Yes. After you submit your report, you will see a confirmation screen. If your report is accurate and you are ready to submit it to GFWC, print this confirmation page for your records, or to use in submitting reports to other GFWC levels.

How do I know you received my report?
Within 24 hours of submitting your report, you will receive an e-mail confirmation at the e-mail address you included in your report. This e-mail confirmation will include the entire text of your report. If you do not receive this e-mail within 24 hours, check your junk or spam e-mail folders, then contact GFWC Program Assistant Marin Aurand by e-mail or call 202/347-3168 ext. 134. You will need to know the name, contact phone number, and e-mail address of the individual who saved the form.

Additional questions and answers will be added to this list as they arise. For questions about reporting in general, please contact GFWC Program Director Pat Nolan or 202/347-3168 ext. 133 or GFWC Program Assistant Marin Aurand or 202/347-3168 ext. 134.

For questions specific to reporting online, please contact GFWC Communications & Public Relations Director Nikki Willoughby or 202/347-3168 ext. 149.
