An exciting day of advocacy and outreach on Capitol Hill is planned for Friday, September 5. This unique opportunity will give you the chance to meet as representatives of GFWC with your Senators* or Senate staff regarding the issue of pay equity and to advocate for the passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act currently in the Senate. Information regarding this issue will be sent to confirmed Board Meeting attendees along with details on the Day on the Hill event.

Legislative Briefing
On Friday morning, prior to heading to the Hill, you will be briefed at the Legislative Breakfast where you will receive last minute tips and advice on advocating and have a venue to ask questions. Following the briefing members will proceed to Capitol Hill for scheduled appointments.
*Please note that the Republican National Convention is the same weekend as the GFWC Board of Directors Meeting. Republican Senators will be in Denver attending this event and most Democratic Senators will be in their home districts campaigning for the November elections.
