Sheila E. Shea has been an active GFWC member for over thirty years and now serves as GFWC Treasurer. In addition to representing her state on the GFWC Board of Directors as State President and Junior Director, she also served as Aide to the GFWC Director of Junior Clubs and on the Fundraising and Leadership Committees, and more recently, as the 2004-2006 GFWC Leadership Committee Chairman.
Sheila’s leadership positions in GFWC Massachusetts include the offices of State President 2002-2004; First and Second Vice-President; Treasurer; Counselor to Junior Membership; and Chairman of the Finance Committee, Community Improvement Program and Headquarters Commission. She currently is serving her state federation as Chairman of the Trustees of the Memorial Education Fund. Her service to the GFWC Massachusetts Junior State Board included Director; Assistant Director; Recording Secretary; Treasurer; District Representative; Parliamentary Advisor; and Chairman of Nominating Committee, Membership, and Meetings.
Sheila’s leadership has extended beyond GFWC as she has also served her community as President, Jaworek Home and School Association; Treasurer, Marlborough High School All Sports Booster Club; Secretary, Marlborough Youth Soccer Association; and Member, Marlborough Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors.
Sheila is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed as Grants/Finance Manager in her local school district. Sheila and her husband Steve have two grown sons.
