Jeri Lyn Cancel

During her 19 years in GFWC, Jeri has served her club, district, state and GFWC in many capacities, including now serving as GFWC Director of Junior Clubs.

Also active in the Girl Scouts, Jeri obtained a grant that provided 500 sewing machines to her local Girl Scout Council. Using these machines, the Scouts make Operation Smile dolls and Blue Bears for EMS. This project has introduced girls and their mothers throughout Georgia to the work of GFWC.

A surgical nurse who holds a BSN from the University of Florida, Jeri has been married to Angel, an anesthesiologist, for 20 years. Due to the family’s extensive involvement in medical mission work, Jeri homeschools their two daughters, ages 12 and 15. The family has traveled to many areas of coastal Africa with the Mercy Ships Organization. Additionally, Jeri has traveled to the Philippines and Colombia on five Operation Smile missions. Working twenty hour days for weeks at a time, Jeri has brought the face of GFWC to hundreds of people around the world.
