GFWC Marlton Woman’s Club
Because of its active involvement in the community, The GFWC Marlton Woman’s Club of Marlton, New Jersey recruited 17 new members in 2015.
“Our membership went from 27 to 44 in one year — a 62% increase,” said Mindi Carleton, the club’s president. “Amazing!”
The club’s top projects include two annual bingos with basket auctions, adopting families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, supporting the local domestic violence shelter, and hosting an annual spelling bee for local fourth and fifth graders.

Recently, the club members adopted five local families, with 18 children total, and provided toys and clothing from the children’s Christmas wish lists. The club also donated grocery store gift certificates to every family.
Founded in 1964, the club remains strong over 50 years later.
One hundred years young, Eleanor Petty has been busy her entire life. As a club member, single parent, college graduate, and professional educator, her first priority has always been the betterment of others.
Success For Survivors Scholarship
Each year, GFWC awards scholarships to help intimate partner abuse survivors obtain a post-secondary education that offers a chance to reshape their future by securing employment and gaining personal independence.
GFWC Montgomery Woman’s Club
Since its founding in 1954, the GFWC Montgomery Woman’s Club, Inc. of Montgomery, Ohio has raised over $1.5 million for education and $430,000 for charity. Eighty-seven members strong, the club is known for volunteer service and community improvement, especially during the holiday months when members decorate the town for Christmas.
