The GFWC Town and Country Women’s Club of Santa Barbara, California has been giving back to the community since 1959. The club is known in the Santa Barbara community for helping veterans and supporting Domestic Violence Solutions, an organization that works to end domestic violence.

“I am so proud of the way our club has handled a flurry of valuable projects for the community.”

According to club president Carolyn I. Shupe, members work tirelessly to bring relief to children, veterans, and underprivileged members of Santa Barbara County.

“We are small but mighty seniors and a few young women. I am so proud of the way our club has handled a flurry of valuable projects for the community,” she said.

One way the club gives back is through the Pizza 4 Veterans project. Clubwomen take pizza, fruit, cookies, and water to give to veterans at the local VA Clinic.

“It is an honor to give back to our community. I was taught at an early age that we use the talent we were given to help others and in turn our happiness is always close behind,” Carolyn said.
