About our Annual International Convention

The General Federation of Women's Clubs holds a convention each year known as the GFWC Annual International Convention, or GFWC Convention. The Annual International Convention offers unparalleled educational and networking opportunities. Attendees, resource partners, and staff convene to conduct GFWC business, attend workshops, elect and install GFWC Officers, promote new programs, present awards, discuss common needs and goals, and foster friendships.

Even numbered years mark the beginning and end of each GFWC administration. Therefore, in even numbered years the election of GFWC Officers and Installation is a major part of the GFWC Convention. GFWC Conventions held in odd numbered years, frequently referred to as interim year conventions, are equally important to the business of GFWC. Bylaws, resolutions, awards, workshops, and program and project promotions are an integral part of these conventions.
