Debra "Deb" Strahanoski
Deb Strahanoski brings 26 years of Federation experience to her role as GFWC Secretary. She has served her clubs, district, and GFWC Illinois in various roles, including district corresponding secretary, scholarship and state project chairman; Illinois State Director of Junior Clubs (2000-2002); and GFWC Illinois President (2008-2010).
Nationally, Deb served GFWC as Home Life, Membership, and Community Improvement Program Award Chairman. Deb is not only a powerhouse volunteer for GFWC, but within her community as well. She served Easter Seals as president of its board of directors (1995-1997). Deb also served on the Joliet Township High School Foundation board and is currently serving as a board member for both the United Way and Prevent Child Abuse Illinois.
Aditionally, Deb's leadership positions have included GFWC Membership Chairman; GFWC Community Improvement Program Chairman; and GFWC Treasurer (2012-2014).
Deb has been employed with Easter Seals since 2005 as Development Manager, managing all annual fundraising activities and events for the Joliet Region. She credits her career success to the experience, leadership, and communication skills she has garnered through her many GFWC relationships.
Deb also works alongside her husband, Bill, in his public accounting office; a business they have owned for 28 years. They recently celebrated 32 years of marriage and have two grown children and one grandchild.
