The General Federation of Women's Clubs is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization chartered in Washington, D.C., to fulfill a mission of enhancing communities through volunteer service. 

2010-2014 GFWC Strategic Plan

The 2010-2014 GFWC Strategic Plan was adopted by the 2008-2010 GFWC Board of Directors at its June 2010 meeting in Omaha, Nebraska. We welcome all members feedback on how we can achieve our goals:

Annual Report

Read the GFWC Annual Report to learn how GFWC members are making a difference in their communities. The Annual Report includes a breakdown of the dollars donated, hours volunteered, and projects completed by GFWC members in 2012-13.

Audited Financial Statements and IRS Form 990

GFWCs audited financial statements are published here for its members. GFWCs Board of Directors and management professionals act as stewards of the organization, but it belongs to its members, past, present, and future. We publish the audited statements as a commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.

The statements are prepared by Rogers and Company, PLLC, an independent audit agency. We conduct periodic reviews to assure continuing objectivity on the part of the auditors, who report to the Executive Committee of the General Federation of Womens Clubs.

To assist you in viewing GFWCs financial report in appropriate context, please consider the following:

The bottom line is that GFWC is in solid financial condition. At this time, a large portion of our income is generated by membership dues. We continue to increase our non-dues based revenue sources to maintain and increase our income, and continually evaluate cost-savings opportunities.

In compliance with Internal Revenue Service reporting requirements, the General Federation of Womens Clubs has published Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, under section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
