Grounds for Change
Grounds for Change offers an easy and profitable fundraiser that will be a hit with supporters of your GFWC club. With unique coffee offerings, GFWC Club Blend and GFWC Club Blend Decaf, club members can offer a personalized and premium product to their fundraising supporters. Coffee is a great fundraiser that can be used on a recurring basis, as the average coffee-drinking household uses one bag of coffee per week. For additional information about the program, continue reading below or view the information as a PDF.
The fundraiser consists of 12 ounce bags of the special GFWC Club Coffee in regular or decaf, whole bean or ground. Grounds for Change will provide each fundraising coordinator with Grounds for Change postcards that describe our coffee and certifications. We will provide printable Individual Order Forms for participants and a Master Order Form for the fundraising coordinator at each club.
Each 12 ounce bag sells to your club for $6.50 and the suggested retail price is $12.00 (although clubs are free to adjust this higher or lower as appropriate to their region). There is NO minimum order size. Orders may be paid for with any major credit card, check or money order. Full payment is due prior to order shipment. Orders may be placed via phone, fax, e-mail, or standard mail. Please allow five business days for us to roast and package the coffee for shipment.
We provide free UPS Ground shipping on all domestic fundraiser orders of 50 bags or more in the 48 contiguous states. Additional charges will apply to orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii. Transit time is two to six business days, depending on club location.
Types of Fundraisers
- Pre-Sale Fundraiser: Individual members take orders from their supporters using the Individual Order Forms and totals are reported to the fundraising coordinator for each club. The coordinator completes a Master Order Form and submits it, along with payment, to Grounds for Change. This process typically takes 2-3 weeks to organize and complete.
- Event or Direct-Sale Fundraiser: One or more cases of coffee are purchased from Grounds for Change by the fundraising coordinator and sold at a specific event or distributed to club members for direct sales to their supporters.

Attention to the triple bottom line—the social, environmental and financial implications of conducting business—lies at the foundation of Grounds for Change. Out of this concept grows quality, commitment, and a passion for our trade. The end result is a truly exceptional cup of coffee. Every single bean that we roast is Fair Trade Certified, Organic Certified and Shade Grown, which means the chance for a real livelihood for coffee growers, a breath of fresh air for the environment and healthy forests for migratory songbirds.
Grounds for Change is passionate about operating as a green business and recently received Kitsap County’s (Wash.) award for Outstanding Achievement in Sustainability. We are a member of 1% for the Planet and donate well over one percent of our total sales to various environmental organizations. This year, our donations helped to support a local elementary school’s environmental stewardship program, support migratory songbirds impacted by coffee cultivation, restore salmon habitat, and support a collective of women coffee producers and their families in Peru and Mexico.
