Hats, Gloves, and Bags Are Still Part of Our Tradition

It's official--the new face of GFWC's Hats, Gloves, and Bags PR Campaign is that of the Stones River Woman's Club of Nashville, Tenn.

The winning photo was submitted by club member Jane Bryan, who explained that the club captured the compelling shot during their work to help individuals and communities recover from a deadly tornado that ripped through 200 miles of eastern and middle Tennessee on February 5, 2008. The storm left hundreds of people injured or homeless, and claimed 33 lives. “I wish the photo originated from better circumstances, but I’m proud that my club was able to help in a time of such need,” Jane said.
