A native of Ontario, Jane Moore has more than 40 years of experience in the field of education, specializing in guidance counseling and special education, both of which provided training in conflict resolution. In the 1980s, she became interested in the dynamics of negotiations, and eventually became a trainer for negotiators for the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation. Her work involved collaboration with many individuals and groups, including government and international organizations. In the 1990s, Jane became a mediator for the OSSTF’s Mediation Council. She received specialized training in mediation and chaired the Mediation Council from 1996 to 1998. Upon her retirement and taking up dual residence in Ontario and Florida, she joined the GFWC Cedar Key Woman’s Club. She served for four years as the club’s Ways and Means chairman and in 2010 was elected club president.
