Mila Johnston
An Alabama native, Mila Johnston earned her undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees at the University of Alabama, Atlanta University, and Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, respectively. For more than 40 years she has worked as a teacher, school administrator, and educational consultant, serving students and teachers at elementary, junior high, high schools, and colleges in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Currently, she is teaching leadership mentoring and consumer communications at the University of Alabama. She has been a GFWC member since high school, when she joined the GFWC Scribblers Juniorette Club in Hale County. She joined the GFWC Veritas Club of Greensboro in 1975 and has served in various leadership capacities on the GFWC Alabama Board of Directors since 1982. She is currently a member of the GFWC Foster House Club of Blountsville and the GFWC Moundville Book Club.
