Pioneer Members

WHO IS A PART OF GFWC HISTORY?

GFWC recently learned of two clubwomen in the Highland (Ill.) Woman's Club whose volunteer service extends for more than a half century each. One of these dedicated clubwomen has been a member since 1952, the other joined GFWC in 1934!

This got us wondering-who might be our longest-serving GFWC member? If you or a fellow clubwoman has a strong (and long!) record of service, let us know! Send the member's name, club name, and the number of years of continual service to GFWC Membership Director Debbe Gladstone.

Our pioneer members have important stories to tell about the history of their clubs, state federations, and GFWC. Please contact the WHRC to find out more about GFWCs Oral History Collection and how you and your club may contribute.
