WHRC Experience

Beginning in Fall 2008, the WHRC is expanding opportunities for GFWC clubwomen to explore GFWCs rich collections. Taking our cue from the National Archives Experience, a new and engaging interactive history adventure, the WHRC Experience will enable GFWC club groups of up to 15 members to visit the WHRC for a hands-on orientation. WHRC staff will provide background on the development of the WHRC, an overview of GFWC collections, an introduction to collections preservation and exhibition methods, and the opportunity to actually work with historic documents, photographs, and publications.

With advance planning, the WHRC can help you design an experience that best suits your clubs interests. Please contact the WHRC for more information or to schedule a WHRC Experience for your group.

GFWC clubwomen may volunteer to assist with a WHRC Experience tour, or a club may include a small volunteer service project with the tour. Your opportunity depends on your interests and time allowed for your adventure!
