Jessie June Flanagan Magee, twenty-seventh international president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, 1967-1970. During her term, Jessie encouraged clubwomen to become involved in activities ranging from voting to taking a more active role in promoting positive content on television. The "V" for volunteer was initiated as a logo during her administration.
