1945 — GFWC is invited by U.S. Secretary of State Edward R. Stetinius to participate as a consultant to the U.S. delegation at the United Nations Conference on International Organization, one of only five women's organizations so honored. GFWC representatives witness the signing of the U.N. Charter in San Francisco on June 26, 1945.
