Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills
The Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills (New Jersey) knows how to have fun and promote a good cause at the same time. Every year, the club hosts the Annual Tee Off for Education Golf Classic and Luncheon Social, which raises money for educational projects, including scholarships for high school seniors and for a woman from Jersey Battered Women’s Services who is returning to school.
The club’s 39 members actively supported the 2014-2016 New Jersey Special State Project, which was the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The club helps to create awareness of mental illness and has raised money for various mental health programs.
Recently, the club hosted its first spelling bee. The three winners moved on to the regional spelling bee and two competed in the GFWC New Jersey championship.
At every club meeting, members bring non-perishable food items and household supplies to donate to the local food bank.
“I am so very proud to be president of the Woman’s Club of Parsippany Troy Hills. This stems from working with a super group of talented woman, giving so much of themselves in helping others,” said Marilyn Marion, the club’s president.
Founded in 1954, the club plays an important role in improving the community. Learn more about the Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills by visiting www.parsippanywomansclub.org. To find a club in your area, click here.

Success For Survivors Scholarship
Each year, GFWC awards scholarships to help intimate partner abuse survivors obtain a post-secondary education that offers a chance to reshape their future by securing employment and gaining personal independence.
GFWC Lawrence Classics Club
The GFWC Lawrence Classics Club (Kansas) has 19 members, and it’s an incredible mixture: one charter member has been involved since 1997; one member has been part of GFWC since 1960; there are a mother and daughter pair who are 2nd and 3rd generation clubwomen; four members are Boosters; and their youngest member only graduated from college last year. This assorted group shares the same values about volunteerism and puts them into action.
