Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)

In 1994 the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is signed into law by President Bill Clinton with the support of GFWC. VAWA provides funding for programs for victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and other acts of violence.

Success For Survivors Scholarship
Each year, GFWC awards scholarships to help intimate partner abuse survivors obtain a post-secondary education that offers a chance to reshape their future by securing employment and gaining personal independence.
