GFWC Celebrates Women’s History Month
March 1, 2021
As always, March is an important time for GFWC as it recognizes women’s contributions to history, culture, and society for Women’s History Month. This month, GFWC will be celebrating the contributions of many women, including journalist Sara Hammel on March 3. Sara is winner of GFWC’s first Croly Award and will be discussing her journey since winning the award in 1996 and her book “The Strong Ones.”
Continue to follow GFWC’s weekly newsletter, News & Notes, for more celebrations throughout the month.
When Sarina Rose isn’t quilting blankets for local hospitals or wheelchair bags for nursing homes, she’s typing away at her computer, lost in a world of vintage romance. The GFWC Melbourne Woman’s Club (Florida) member is the author of three books in “The Relentless Series”.
Success For Survivors Scholarship
Each year, GFWC awards scholarships to help intimate partner abuse survivors obtain a post-secondary education that offers a chance to reshape their future by securing employment and gaining personal independence.
