The GFWC Sedley Woman’s Club participated in the GFWC National Day of Service by volunteering at the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. Members sorted food donations, stocked shelves, and assembled boxes. They took a tour of the facilities to learn about the foodbank feeds Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
GFWC Southwest Region Woman’s Club (SRWC) volunteered at the Benefits in Action food warehouse in Lakewood, Colorado for the National Day of Service. They packed 220 boxes, equalling 4,360 pounds of food to be delivered to 220 households. These boxes are distributed to low-income families, seniors, medically fragile, and those without access to local food banks.
