Volunteers in Action: GFWC Woman’s Club of Enfield (CT) & GFWC Woman’s Club of Vinton (VA)
October 17, 2023
The GFWC Woman’s Club of Enfield (CT) partnered with the Enfield Food Shelf to make 89 cold-weather bags for those experiencing homelessness in their area. The bags contained necessities like socks, cold-weather accessories, snacks, and water bottles.
GFWC Woman’s Club of Vinton (VA) celebrated the inaugural GFWC National Day of Service by contributing to the Vinton Baptist Church Blessing Box. Members donated shelf stable food and personal care items that are stored in an outdoor cabinet, available 24/7 to those who need it without fear of judgement. Their club has decided to make recurring monthly donations in support of ending food insecurity.
