Oregon City Woman’s Club
The Oregon City Woman’s Club (Oregon) participated at the National Night Out on August 7 with a booth advertising their club. National Night Out is an annual campaign that promotes partnership between police and the community to create a safer neighborhood. The event creates a sense of community and is a chance for organizations like GFWC clubs to introduce themselves to their neighbors. It was a very hot night, but that didn’t stop all the women who came by and found out more about the club and GFWC. The Oregon City Woman’s Club members President Beverly Spilseth, Heather Chaney, Julie Peters, Sandra Browne, and Vickie Calcagno answered questions about the club and extended invitations to attend their meeting in September. Visitors were treated with the opportunity to play a game of giant Jenga!
