General
Why do I need a Member Portal account?
As a GFWC clubwoman, you have access to a wealth of information, resources, GFWC merchandise, and fun and informative events through the Member Portal. By creating your account you will gain access to these valuable members-only resources and documents to help clubs and individuals make a difference in their communities through volunteer service. If you have questions about what creating a Member Portal account can do for you as a GFWC member, don’t hesitate to email GFWC@GFWC.org and someone will be happy to offer you assistance.
How do I sign up for a Member Portal account?
To sign up for a Member Portal account and gain access to various members-only resources, visit the GFWC Member Portal login page. Once you are on the log in screen, click on “Sign Up” at the bottom of the page. You will then be prompted to enter the email address and password you would like associated with your Member Portal account. All passwords must be at least eight characters long, contain one number, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one special character. After entering your information, click on the blue “Sign Up” button to create your account.
What do I do if I can’t remember my account password?
If you created a Member Portal account but can’t remember the password you chose, there are a few simple steps to reset your password and get you back into your account. First, go to the GFWC Member Portal login page. Click on the “Forgot your password” option under the Password field. You will then be asked to enter the username/email address associated with your account. A password reset code will then be automatically sent to the email address you set up your Member Portal account under.
After you receive the code, enter it into the “Code” field on the next screen that appears. You can then type in a new password and confirm that password. All passwords must be at least eight characters long, contain one number, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one special character. Once you have chosen a new password, click on “Change Password” and log into your account with the new password.
If you complete these steps and still have issues logging into your account or the password reset code is not working, email GFWC@GFWC.org with your concerns and someone will assist you as quickly as possible.
For additional assistance, a quick how-to video for resetting your Member Portal account password is available on GFWC’s YouTube channel.
How do I update my account information?
Once you are logged into your Member Portal account, click on the Profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and select “My Profile” from the dropdown menu. Under the heading “My Personal Information” on your profile screen, click on the small pencil icon on the right side to begin editing your information. After you have made the necessary changes, click on the blue “Update” button.
How do I sign up to receive News & Notes or WHRC News?
From GFWC International President updates to ongoing Chairman projects to GFWC Affiliate Organization initiatives to in-depth looks at the celebrated history of the Federation, GFWC’s free electronic newsletters are the best way to stay informed as a clubwoman. You can choose to receive News & Notes and WHRC News directly to your inbox by updating your Communication Preferences in your personal Member Portal account.
To do so, first log into your Member Portal account and click on the Profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and select “My Profile” from the dropdown menu. Toward the bottom of the screen, you will see a heading for “Communication Preferences” with an arrow to the right side of the heading. When you click on this arrow, options will appear below that allow you to select whether you would like to opt-in or opt-out of GFWC emails, as well as which types of emails you would like to receive.
If you want to receive News & Notes and WHRC News right to the inbox that is associated with your Member Portal account, ensure that the “Email” option is highlighted and that News & Notes and WHRC News are selected.
Once you have completed these steps, your communication preferences will be saved to your account.
I’m signed up to receive News & Notes, but I’m not getting it in my inbox. How do I fix this?
If you have set your Communication Preferences in your Member Portal account to receive News & Notes or other GFWC content (see above FAQ on setting Communication Preferences) but aren’t receiving GFWC newsletters, first check that the emails from GFWC are not going to your email spam folder.
If News & Notes or other GFWC emails are being sent to your spam folder, try adding GFWC@GFWC.org to your “safe sender” list, also known as “whitelisting” an email.
If you have verified your Communication Preferences are set to receive News & Notes and the newsletters are not being sent to your spam folder, please email GFWC@GFWC.org and someone will assist you as soon as possible.
Navigating the Digital Library
How do I find the Digital Library in my Member Portal account?
Once you are logged into your Member Portal account, click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select “My Digital Library” from the dropdown menu.
If you do not see the “My Digital Library” option available, please email GFWC@GFWC.org and someone will take a look at your account and help you get access to the valuable member resources housed in the Digital Library (please allow 12-24 hours to receive access after signing into your account).
What documents are included in the Digital Library?
From tips for recruiting and maintaining new members to coming up with new ideas for community service projects, and learning about how GFWC clubs operate to finding strategies to become a successful leader, the GFWC Member Portal Digital Library houses hundreds of pages of useful members-only information. These documents include the 2020-2022 Club Manual, GFWC logos and emblems, the Bylaws, and much more. For a comprehensive list of the documents contained in the Digital Library and to help you find the file you are looking for, please view the Index within the Library.
The Index can be found by entering the Digital Library, clicking on the “Resources” folder, and then selecting the “Index” folder.
How do I find documents in the Resources folder?
All of the members-only documents housed in the Digital Library are sorted in alphabetical folders which you can access by clicking on the “Resources” folder in the Digital Library. Once you are in the “Resources” folder, you have the option of viewing the Index in the “Index” folder, which includes a comprehensive list of documents in the Digital Library and which folders they are in, or you can search by the corresponding letter folders.
You may only see a few letter folders when you first open the “Resources” folder, but if you look toward the bottom of the screen there is the option to show more items per page, which will show you more letter folders on the page you are currently on, or you can use the arrow buttons to click over to the next set of alphabetical folders.
If you need assistance in locating the file you need, please don’t hesitate to email GFWC@GFWC.org and someone will help direct you to the correct folder.
For additional guidance on finding documents in the Digital Library, a quick how-to video is available on GFWC’s YouTube channel.
Where can I find the GFWC Club Manual?
The GFWC Club Manual is a valuable resource for all clubwomen, and the entire document can be found within the “C” folder in the Digital Library. To access the Club Manual, log into your Member Portal account, click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and select “My Digital Library” from the dropdown menu. You will then click on the “Resources” folder, followed by the “C” folder, and then the folder labeled “Club Manual.” From there, you will see a variety of additional sub folders and documents containing all of the information that makes up the Club Manual.
Why won’t documents download from the Digital Library to my computer?
If you have located the file in the Digital Library you wish to download and view, but when you click on the document it won’t download to your computer, there are a few ways to troubleshoot this problem.
First, check that your pop-up blocker for the website has been turned off, as this can prevent you from being able to download files from the Digital Library.
If your pop-up blocker is turned off, but you are still experiencing trouble, you may need to clean out the Downloads folder on your computer. As you download countless photos and documents from the internet every day, eventually it may be necessary to delete some of these files from the Downloads folder on your computer to make space for new information.
Where can I find information about starting a new club in my state?
Whether you are looking to start a new club, recruit new members to your club, or are curious about tips for retaining your membership, the Member Portal Digital Library has many useful resources. To access these membership resources, log into your Member Portal account, click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and select “My Digital Library” from the dropdown menu. You will then click on the “Resources” folder, followed by the “M” folder. From there, you will see several documents that may be of use to you. For example, if you want to start a new club, you can choose to download the three documents labeled Building New Clubs Part 1-3.

How do I purchase GFWC merchandise from Marketplace?
Through Marketplace you can purchase high-quality GFWC merchandise, including anniversary pins, t-shirts, accessories, previous issues of the GFWC Clubwoman Magazine, and more. To browse the great items GFWC offers, first log into your Member Portal account. Once you are logged in, click on the “Marketplace” menu option across the top of your screen and select “Browse store” from the dropdown menu. This will take you to Marketplace to start looking for the items you wish to purchase.

When you have decided on what you want to purchase, click on the picture of the product. Once you are ready to check out, click on the shopping cart icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and complete the prompts to check out.
You will need to include your address, select shipping options, and provide payment information.
If you have any difficulties purchasing GFWC merchandise through Marketplace, please don’t hesitate to email GFWC@GFWC.org or Membership Services Coordinator Lydia Miller with your concerns.
For additional assistance, a quick how-to video about ordering from Marketplace is available on GFWC’s YouTube channel.
What do I do if I have placed an order but have not received it yet?
We appreciate your patience when waiting for your Marketplace orders. The USPS is currently backed up and shipping times are longer than expected. Please review the USPS Service Alerts page for more information.
There is also the possibility that we are waiting to receive your payment. If you chose the option to “pay later” at checkout, you still have an outstanding balance. You can either send us a check in the mail, call GFWC Headquarters to pay over the phone, or pay your invoice on the Member Portal. To pay on the Member Portal, log into your account, and click on the bell in the upper right corner. We cannot ship any Marketplace orders without receiving payment.
Is Marketplace only for Club Presidents to order from?
No, every member is welcome to shop for items from Marketplace! As long as you have created a Member Portal account, you will have access to the Marketplace (See general FAQ section regarding creating an account).
What does the “pay later” option mean when checking out?
The “pay later” option is a way to pay for your order at a later time. You can use this option if you prefer to pay via check, in which case you can send one in the mail to GFWC Headquarters. You can also use this option to come back and pay for your items later. You can pay later by logging into the Member Portal and clicking on the bell in the upper right corner. Marketplace orders will not be shipped if they have a standing balance due.
I need pins for a ceremony happening very soon! Do you offer rush shipping?
Currently, we are not offering rush/overnight shipping. Please take into consideration processing and shipping times when placing your order.
I don’t see pins available for 50 or 75 years on Marketplace. How can I get those pins?
Headquarters offers Gold (50 years) and Jubilee (75 years) celebratory pins free of charge to members who have reached this incredible milestone. Your club president or Membership Chair can order them by locating the order form in the Member Portal Digital Library within the “P” resources folder. Once that form is filled out, please mail the form to GFWC Headquarters or email it to GFWC@GFWC.org or Membership Services Coordinator Lydia Miller.

Using GFWC Logos and Emblems
How can I use GFWC logos and emblems?
As a GFWC member, you have access to GFWC logos, emblems, and icons for marketing and publicity-related purposes. These files include the current Administration Logo, various formats of the GFWC emblem, and icons for each of the Special Programs and Community Service Programs.
For more information about the appropriate use of GFWC logos and emblems, review the GFWC Stylebook available in the “S” Resources folder of the Member Portal Digital Library. If you have additional questions about using GFWC trademarks, email GFWC@GFWC.org.
Where can I find GFWC logos and emblems to use for club publications?
To access GFWC logos, log into your Member Portal account, click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and select “My Digital Library” from the dropdown menu. You will then click on the “Resources” folder, and locate the “L” folder. Once you are in this folder, you will see another folder labeled “Logos,” which contains all of GFWC’s logos available for use.
The logos are provided as JPGs, PNGs with a transparent background, and as EPS design files to accommodate different needs. EPS files can only be opened in specific design programs and are used by graphic designers for various projects.
What version of the GFWC logo or emblem should I send to a graphic designer or vendor?
If you are having a graphic designer create flyers, banners, signs, or other marketing materials for your club, you can send them the EPS version of the desired logo or emblem available in the Member Portal Digital Library. EPS files allow graphic designers and printers to proportionally resize a graphic without altering elements of a layout. EPS files also store the exact colors used. While you won’t be able to open the file without a professional design program, it is the best file for your club to send a vendor. Often, printers also prefer EPS files because this file format generates the highest-quality image for commercial printing.
An EPS file will also allow graphic designers and printers to create many other, less commonly-used file types.
What version of the GFWC logo or emblem should I use for creating brochures and flyers?
If you are creating a brochure or flyer for your club, you can use the PNG version of the desired logo or emblem available in the Member Portal Digital Library. PNGs can be used if you are designing materials to be printed but do not have access to specialized design programs that can open an EPS file, such as Adobe Creative Suite. PNG files allow for a transparent background around the image, which can be useful when designing a brochure, flyer, or sign with various graphics and text that need to be laid out.
What version of the GFWC logo or emblem should I use for updating our club website or creating an online newsletter?
If you are updating your club website or creating an online newsletter, you can use the JPG version of the desired logo or emblem available in the Member Portal Digital Library. JPEGs, a very compressed type of file, allow web pages and social media profiles to load faster. However, JPEG files will feature the graphic on a white background. Similar to websites, online newsletters can benefit from using JPEG files because images will load faster when recipients open an email.
